We are thrilled you want to volunteer with us. Our volunteers are the backbone of our rescue. We can't wait to introduce you to our organization and the team that makes it all happen. The Little RES Q has an active outreach program and participates in animal adoption and education events throughout the year across Ontario. Through adopt-a-thons, presentations and information booths at trade shows and events, we are working to educate the public about the importance of proper care of pet reptiles and finding available pets new forever homes. We’re looking for volunteers to help us at these events and training is provided.
The Little RES Q has a number of remote adoption Kiosks throughout the GTA and we need help to monitor and maintain these setups. A PetSmart volunteer would perform weekly visits to their assigned location to check on the turtle stationed there. Other duties include helping the shelter staff during adoption events at the assigned store. You would be the face of the rescue, helping to find homes for the turtles at the store.
We sometimes need help transporting animals and supplies to and from our shelter in Pefferlaw Ontario. All animals would be secured. You must have a reliable vehicle of any size that can make the trip.
Crafting is a fantastic way to get involved and show off your talent! We are accepting all kinds of crafts, from sewing to perler beads and more. It's purely at your leisure with crafting drop-off locations throughout the GTA.
Consider hosting a bake sale, organize a raffle . . . the options are endless. Contact us so we can help you get the resources you need to create an amazing event.
